Alexis Cohen Death | Daniel Bark Indicted

Alexis Cohen, American Idol former contestant, was found dead on a New Jersey Street! She was only 25 years old.  According to reports, the cause of dead was a car accident.

Alexis Cohen had a unique personality, you might remember her form the early episodes of last edition of American Idol, when she compared her talent to Janis Joplin and Pat Benatar.


Alexis Cohen, the American Idol contestant famous for her rant on the show, was hit and killed by a car back on July 25, 2009. The man who hit her, Daniel Bark, had been fleeing from the police for a car accident he had got into earlier that day, in which he fled the scene in a hit-and-run.

According to police information released during that time, Bark killed Cohen with a 2005 Mitsubishi Gallant and left the scene of the accident. Cohen’s body was found on a road in Seaside Heights on the New Jersey shore.

Bark was later arrested on July 26, and was initially charged with drunk driving. On Thursday, the grand jury indicted Bark on four counts. He was charged with aggravated manslaughter, eluding police, intentionally leaving the scene of an accident which resulted in a death, and for death by auto. He’s still currently in jail with a bail set at $150,000.
